The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) encourages comments from stakeholders and the public when proposing rulemaking projects.
Opportunities to provide comments on rules may include open public comment periods for Statements of Scope, economic impact, and proposed emergency and permanent rules.
Economic Impact Comments
The WDVA solicits public comments when preparing an economic impact analysis (EIA) for proposed administrative rules. The Department is interested in obtaining information and advice from businesses, associations, local governmental units, individuals, and other stakeholders that may be affected by the proposed administrative rules. Comments received are used to prepare an EIA of the rules as required under Wis. Stat. § 227.137.
Comments may be submitted via email to DVAAdminRules@DVA.wisconsin.gov or via mail to Department of Veterans Affairs, Attn: Administrative Rules Coordinator, PO Box 7843, Madison, WI 53707-7843.
Comments must be limited to only the economic impact of the rule. A public hearing will be scheduled following the completion of the economic impact analysis, during which general comments on the proposed rule will be accepted.
There are no rulemaking projects open for economic impact comments at this time.
