Vet Ed Reimbursement Grant

Eligibility & Benefit Overview

  • Available to veterans who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree.
  • Reimburses tuition and fees for successfully completed courses.
  • Credit limits are based on active duty service length:
Active Duty TimeMaximum Credits or Semesters
90 – 180 days30 credits or 2 semesters
181-730 days60 credits or 4 semesters
731+ days120 credits or 8 semesters
  • Must achieve at least a 2.0 GPA (C average) per semester for reimbursement.
  • Income eligibility: Household income must be below $50,000 + $1,000 per dependent beyond two dependents.
  • Veterans may currently receive federal VA Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill benefits and VetEd for the same semester. Individuals eligible for Wisconsin GI Bill benefits must apply for, and use those benefits in order to be eligible for VetEd reimbursement.
  • VetEd reimbursement will be reduced to the extent that tuition and fees have already been paid by other grants, scholarships, and remissions provided for the payment of tuition and fees, including federal VA Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill tuition benefits.

How to Apply

  1. Apply Online (Preferred for Faster Processing):
  2. Apply via County or Tribal Veterans Service Officers (CVSO/TVSO).
  3. Download & Submit WDVA Form 2200.

Application Deadline:

Must be received within 60 days of the course start date.
