Molly Brown

Hi, my name is Molly Brown (soon to be Hoesly)! Born and raised in Rockton, Il, now living in Janesville, WI. I served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard for six years as a military police officer from 2013 to 2019. During that time, I was state-activated for rioting in Milwaukee, and then deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for about a year.

The week I joined the WI Army National Guard, I also turned 18 and graduated from high school. The same month I ended my military career, I graduated from college with my bachelor’s degree at UW-Whitewater. I am now 30 years old, with a fiancé, Mark, a 2.5-year-old son, Hank, and a dog, Bruce. My civilian career has included private security work, being a corrections officer at a county jail, doing social work with a county Human Services CCS Program, and now I am an Assistant County Veteran Services Officer with Green County, WI.

I am excited to be involved in a program that will reconnect me with those six years of military life, and I cannot wait to connect with other veterans while being a part of the “She Is A Veteran” campaign.
