Shea Roberts

Shea Roberts, originally from North Carolina, had a diverse and impactful career while on active duty in the US Coast Guard (USCG), and served in various roles and locations. Enlisting in May In 2000, Shea’s initial motivation was to gain law enforcement experience. However, over time, Shea discovered that the USCG provided more than just that.

Throughout 21 years of active duty, Shea served as a Tactical Coxswain, Maritime Law Enforcement Officer and an Intelligence Specialist Chief. These roles allowed Shea to gain valuable on-the-job training, develop leadership skills, be part of a cohesive team, and have an office with a view. Shea’s duty station locations included California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia.

Shea’s responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks, such as conducting security patrols within New York City waterways, raising the USCG Ensign at Ground Zero after 9/11, securing security zones for US Navy Nuclear Submarines, working alongside US Secret Service for Presidential and Vice-Presidential operations, conducting numerous Search and Rescue missions with unfortunate outcomes, and deploying as Signals Intelligence Chief.

Throughout Shea Roberts’ career in the US Coast Guard, she demonstrated dedication, adaptability, and a commitment to serving and protecting others. The experiences gained in law enforcement, intelligence, and various operational roles undoubtedly shaped Shea’s character and provided a wealth of knowledge and skills for future endeavors.

After retiring, Shea made a significant move to Wisconsin to be with the “Man of her Dreams,” Tim and their amazing Service Dogs, Bane and Gideon. Shea was previously employed as the Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist for Madison, WI., but has recently accepted a new position as the Strategic Analyst for the North Central High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Initiative (HIDTA) located in Milwaukee, WI where she utilizes her bachelor’s degree and previous work experiences.
