The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs operates and maintains three veterans cemeteries throughtout the State of Wisconsin. The mission of the cemeteries is: To provide a final resting place for veterans and to create a lasting monument to their achievements and sacrifices on behalf of our grateful nation. 

 
The Military Funeral Honors Program (MFHP) in Wisconsin provides a final tribute to the men and women who served our state and nation honorably as members of the U.S. armed forces. The mission of this program is: To provide and coordinate the appropriate final tribute to eligible Wisconsin veterans acknowledging their faithful and honorable service to the State of Wisconsin and our Nation.

The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs operates state veterans cemeteries in Spooner, King, and Union Grove.​



 

Military Funeral​ Honors Program

Upon request, every eligible veteran is entitled to receive a military funeral honors ceremony to include folding, presentation of the United States burial flag and the sounding of taps, at no cost to the family.​​
