
The Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (CWVMC) near King, WI, is Wisconsin’s oldest state veterans cemetery, established in 1888 with the burial of a Civil War veteran. It serves as the final resting place for over 8,500 veterans and their dependents, including those who served in conflicts from the Spanish American War to the Persian Gulf War. Services are conducted in an enclosed committal shelter, and the cemetery hosts veterans’ events and commemorations at its ceremonial area and flag plaza. Conveniently located near Waupaca and accessible from U.S. Highway 10, CWVMC remains a historic and honorable tribute to those who served.
