Nestled in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (NWVMC) in Spooner, WI, serves as a peaceful final resting place for eligible veterans, spouses, and dependents. Surrounded by forest, the cemetery sits on land donated by Washburn County and additional parcels acquired by the state. Established in 1998, it began interments in 2000 and includes an indoor committal chapel, an outdoor committal shelter, and a flag plaza for ceremonies and veterans’ events.
