Wisconsin's Council on Veterans Programs advises the Board of Veterans Affairs and the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs on solutions and policy alternatives relating to the problems of veterans.
The Council is required to submit a biennial report to the Chief Clerk of each house of the Legislature for distribution to the legislature by September 30 of odd-numbered years. The report includes a general summary of the activities and membership of the Council on Veterans Programs and of each organization on the Council.
Council on Veterans Programs members represent a Veterans Service Organization to which they belong. They are appointed for one-year terms by the organizations they represent.
